Tales and Whispers by Régis Auffray

Tales and Whispers by Régis Auffray
Tales and Whispers is Régis Auffray's fourth book. This one is a collection of short stories and personal quotes.

The stories are quite interesting and will have you not want to put the book down. The only downside is that some stories are written in French, so if French is not something you are fluent in, you might have to skip those and move on to others. Even so, there are plenty of stories written in English for you to enjoy so don't stop yourself from getting the book because it has some French pieces in it.

The personal quotes, all written in English, are beautiful, inspirational and leave a lasting impression on the reader. There is definitely some food for thought in what he writes.

Right now the book is available exclusively at lulu.com but will be available online on Amazon and Barnes and Noble soon. To peek inside the book and perhaps purchase a copy head here: Tales and Whispers on Amazon.

Eyes of Emerald by Harvey Stelman

Eyes of Emerald by Harvey Stelman
Eyes of Emerald is a novel written by the talented storyteller Harvey Stelman. The book is based on a story that Harvey's father had told him on numerous occasions. The story is about a Jewish immigrant family living in New York City in the 1930s.

The main character, Esther, is the center of the story. One day she goes to a Chinese restaurant for lunch with her best friend and meets the owner by the name of Sammy Chang. He is Chinese and she is Jewish, so Esther hesitates about going out on a date with him because this kind of thing is frowned up in her family. At first she rejects him but then she gives in.

Sammy falls hard for Esther and will do anything to be with her and so when he is summoned to China to help his father fight in the war he ends up kidnapping her and taking her with him. Esther is furious with Sammy for doing what he did but then she stops being mad at him because she finds herself falling in love with him.

Sammy decides that he wants Esther to marry him, even though it is against his family's wishes. She accepts his proposal and the two get married. After the war is over they return to New York City to begin their life together. Everything seems perfect but then a curse strikes, a curse that was placed upon her one day when she was at the park with her grandmother. Things are no longer perfect and the story takes a turn you will not expect.

Go back in time to New York City in the 1930s, and see what life was like for a Jewish immigrant family back then. Then take the journey into a world of forbidden love and experience how it can change people's lives and the lives of those around them. Get your copy of Eyes of Emerald today.

And after you finish reading Eyes of Emerald pick up a copy of Sammy's Return, the sequel to the first novel. This new book focuses on Esther's son Sammy and the adventures he has and the people he meets when he travels by train from his home in Miami to New York City where according to his mother his destiny lies...
